Our Mission

Austin Reardon

September 7, 2000 — July 23, 2023

Austin Reardon was a strong and compassionate individual who tragically lost his life at the young age of 22. He had just completed his internship for Cooper Electric in North Carolina and was returning to the University of Maine where he was set to graduate in May 2024 with his Engineering degree.

He was an active member of the community, serving as a leader and friend to all. He had a talent for making everyone he met feel accepted and cared for. Austin seized every opportunity and brought humor wherever he went. His passions and successes were numerous but his most impressive accomplishment was the person he was: kind, compassionate, funny, loyal, and loving. He was a wonderful son, brother, twin, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend.

The love he had for life is truly something to be envied. Austin was a one-of-a-kind individual whose light shone brightly and will forever survive in those who were fortunate enough to have their lives touched by Austin.

“Austin was one of my best friends, he became the brother I never had. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. He would show up at my house at the most random times to go on side quests. Whether it was carving pumpkins, decorating gingerbread houses, pond hockey at froggies or even taking photos with him it was never boring. His witty humor and intense confidence always lit up a room."
